03 Jun Sterckx Stables Take Top Placings in Competitive Memorial Day Classic
Top riders from Sterckx Stables in South Pasadena showed captivated audiences at 2015’s Memorial Day Horse Show why they are among the most talented riders in the southern California show jumping circuit.
Jennifer Sims took home 2nd in a field of 12 in the .95M Jumpers. Sims took home a 3rd in the Table II .9m classic. In the .90m classic, Sterckx Stables took home 2 of the top 3 placings in a field of 25. Sims took 2nd, while Ashley Fung took 3rd. Ashley Fung showed her chops again taking 2nd out of a field of 19 in the .9m jumpers. Sophie Root-Stevens took a 7th on her horse Feliz Van Het Eikenhof in the .8m jumpers out of 15 entries. Root-Stevens took home a 3rd in the .85m jumpers.
Stephanie Don took home a 1st place showing in the .95m Pony jumpers on her steed Joel. Sydney Flashman took home a 1st place in a separate .95m pony jumpers.
Julia Otter and Sophie St. Clair took home 3rd and 4th in the highly competitive $1,250 Amateur Junior Jumper Classic out of a field of 9. They took 2nd and 4th in the 1.20m modified Amateur Junior classic.
